What did you do, directly after leaving HDK? 

I moved to Stockholm and worked with jewellry, partly in my kitchen, partly at Platina, a gallery, shop and workshop for Jewellry, at Odenplan in Stockholm, Sweden.

How did you end up there? Can you describe your way to professional life? 

Since I left  HDK I have made jewellry and exhibited both in Sweden and abroad. At an early stage I chose to concentrate on uniques pieces of jewellery and not doing anything on commission. So far, I feel that this is the right choice for me. 2007 I was tutoring at a course at HDK, which made me want more and led me into continuing being a teacher part-time.

Your strongest memory from HDK? 

Long days and nights in the workshop before deadline for the different projects and how the cleaners used to wake me up, when I had fallen asleep in the early mornings. 

What is your most important lesson from HDK? 

Nothing is neutral.l Everything communicates something. Whether it’s the intention or not every object says something to the observer.

Did you have some kind of strategy, during your HDK years, to influence your future carrier? 

No, I can’t say I had.

If you should give one advice to a HDK student today – what would that be?  

Try to block your fears of doing something ”wrong”. The time at school is a gigantic mattress: Even if you jump from high heights your landing is relatively soft.
