Textile Art students at leading international arena

Twenty-five Textile Art students from HDK – School of Design and Crafts, University of Gothenburg, exhibit at one of the world’s leading arenas within its’ field.
On Monday September 19 a bus leaves HDK – School of Design and Crafts with artwork, twenty-five Textile Art students, teachers and artists. Destination: Kaunas Textile Art Biennial. In Lithuania.
Annika Ekdahl, visiting Professor in Textile Art at HDK, is invited to exhibit. She will be doing this in collaboration with Birgitta Nordström, Director of Studies in Textile Art at HDK, twenty students and five newly graduated alumni from HDK. Moreover, five Textile Art students from the school also participate in a separate student exhibition at the biennial and one of the master students participates in the exhibition ”Experiments With Light”.
The 8th Kaunas Biennial has the theme ” ”Rewind-play-forward” and is an important international platform for exhibitions, theatre programmes, a conference with lectures, workshops, happenings and public art activities.
