In a hundred and fifty years, we’re history
One hundred and fifty years ago industrialization reached Sweden, the railway came to Katrineholm and Lina wrote a love letter to Otto: "A heartfelt embrace... I love Thee!".
Nineteen students in Crafts, out of which five are exchange students, have worked with reflections on the title "In a hundred and fifty years, we’re history." What memories will remain of us in a hundred and fifty years' time? What will the world look like, and where will craft be? It's staggering to think about time. Before, after and now.
The students show their work about the present and the future, chaos, technology, preserving memories, stories about growing up and taking responsibility for our future society. What will people think of us in a hundred and fifty years' time? If the story is about anything, it's about us.
The exhibiting students represent the HDK Crafts programmes on bachelor's level, year 2, with focus on Ceramic Art,
Textile Art and Jewellry Art.
