The course is affiliated practical life through an organised collaboration with business companies and organisations in the region.
Year 1
The first year you will study the theory of design and marketing, design and society, design and strategy as well as the legal and financial conditions linked to design.
You will conclude with an integrated project where issues in any of the areas are processed with the help of a mentor. Development, application and training of different methods and creative work in heterogeneous groups are important parts of the first year.
Year 2
You will start your second year with what we call the workshop term. You will experiment and investigate real projects together with companies, organisations and public bodies. You will get the opportunity to test your newly acquired knowledge and previous experience and training. You will work on a theme-based project in a student team representing different skills and perspectives. Companies and organisations can together with students develop innovative concepts in this project. Thus the programme provides the opportunity for attractive collaborations and to establish contacts with trade, industry and public bodies.This term can also be used to study at one of the foreign universities HDK cooperates with. During the final term you will work on your degree project (30 credits) individually or in small groups.
