Beyond Room / Bortom Rum
Table and mirror installation.
”Is it possible to create a room where one does not experience the physical space?”
A project about perceiving physical spaces, and what happens within the viewer when the experience turns out to be different from the preconceived.
Mirrors were placed horizontally in a half circle around the corner were the viewer was standing. When the viewer stood in this corner looking into the mirrors, neither the corner or oneself was reflected. Empty mirrors reflecting straight, empty walls.
Comments from exhibitionists when standing in the corner:
”To look out into that emptiness creates questions”.
”I did not exist. Nice to detach from myself”.

F R A G M E N T
Dance and light performance. A student driven collaboration between people from HDK, Chalmers Architecture and the Ballet Academy. Set designers: Anna Ask, Lisa Carlsten, Åsa Landahl, Johannes Luchmun, Irma Persson Käll and Jenny Svensson-Malmgren. ”Fragments of a life story being told through expressive contemporary dance, falling scenography and live light projections.” Fragment is about parts out of life put together into a rhythm, a pulse, which goes through the dance, scenography, light and music. For the light show, which followed the entire performance, we used three vintage over-head projectors to create different effects. Each projector had one person behind. The light included effects such as projections through kaleidoscopes and reflections of water. Video coming soon.

Interweaving Reflections
Interactive light installation. Lights in Alingsås workshop 2010.
”Welcome to Väveribron, a place that allowes us to discover the spirit of the past. Take your time to explore and you may find hidden memories come to life.” Light framed the spatiality which changed the perspective of depth. Cars and people triggered the different light scenes, visible for the viewer standing on Väveribron.
Threads reminding of the weaving and dying factory that once was situated next to the stream.
The interactive light installation was realized by the end of September and remained in place for a further month for the enjoyment of 65000 visitors.
Workshop head: Deike Canzler, Sweden.

Room for Space / Plats för Plats
Summer project 2010. Text and photographs from Sweden, Berlin, New York and Peru. ”Emptiness, interspaces, silence and pause. The empty space is loaded with everything and is extremely important in between of all the crowded spaces we surround ourselves with. Without pauses, no experiences.” An investigating work about how the balance is integrated in between of the city and the nature, and how this affects us human beings. What sort of spatialities, visionary view fields, needs for senses we have to implement to create a stronger and more long-standing well being amongst both human beings and nature. Sample images: The High Line, New York. Flight over South America. Olafur Eliasson - The Blind Pavilion, Berlin. Museum Park Installation, Berlin.

The Missing Piece
Salt and mirror installation. Millennium Bridge, London. ”Slowly the salt disappeared, leaving the moist from the morning in a lit up reflection by the sunrise. Eventually the reflections dried out and the only thing left was The Missing Piece, reflecting oneself.” A comment to the trying of filling the feeling of emptiness within by attracting ones inner answers from the environment. I created a reflected moment of life to refute this fact.

The Sky Bar, Hotel Riverton
Collaboration with Marta Dell'Anna. ”The visit at the Sky Bar will make the guest feel as if being in a part of the sky.” Esthetic concept for integrated interior with exterior. Technical solution for a lighting system to achieve the feeling of the roof integrating with the present sky.
The sensors would pick up the colours of the present sky and project these in the ceiling of the bar, making it into a sober prolonged sky.
A good spot to notice all the gentle tones of colours in a preconceived dull appearing grey sky.

Out of Place / Ur Plats
Mimic performance. Mime actress: Joséphine Wistedt. ”Suddenly she was lying there somewhere in the cold, out of place and away from home. Where was home? Does she belong here? The search for a way out, or in?" Being out of place, or in the right place. A performance around the theme of belonging and discovering borders.
