In the conceptual phase for this project our group decided to take the west swedish light as a central topic for our individual projects later on. We came up with that theme after considering Landvetter Airports core values e.g. west swedish, modern, human. The light was for us both a subtle and a efficient way to integrate nature in the airport and to create a nice atmosphere. In the individual project I created models of informationtrees, that provide both information for travelers (e.g. arrival, departure) and a bright and interesting light source. The trees are supposed to be as high as the ceiling, to be made out of couloured acrylic glass and have integrated information interfaces (e.g. maps, tourist information). I also designed an example for a map of west sweden, which contains information about the cities, the nature, transportation, events and tourist attractions.
