Johnny Friberg

Johnny Friberg is an architect and designer with a special interest in children's artefacts and environments. He has a master degree in Interior architecture, completed in 1999 at the School of Design and Crafts, Göteborg University (HDK). Before joining the staff at HDK he has been working as a researcher at SITREC, former NCFL for 6 years, mostly in international projects dealing with experimental computer games and/or interactive toys. He was coordinating the concept and content production in the TiM project (IST-2000-25298), where computer games for the visually impaired was created.

Twice a Man and Lotta Lotass - snow, wood, silence

the year 2006, twice a man together with the actor Maria Ericson made a tour with a multi-media performance/text and music installation in Russia. The project was a collaboration with the swedish author Lotta Lotass. The performance was partially funded by The swedish institute. The performance was a reflection upon the artist Joseph Buyes life and art. At that time Twice a Man consist of: Johnny Friberg, Ingemar Gasleben, Dan Söderqvist

Värdig Entré - A project about accessability in our cultural heritage

Johnny Friberg and Carl-Johan Skogh are doing a project together with Gajd Arkitekter. The project is initiated by Statens Fastighetsverk. The aim with the project is to provide sensitive environments and building with accessability for challenged people. A first protype will soon be available to be tested in Gothenburg.The design teams aim has been to provide a solution that will not put disabled people on the side. To try to solve this problem in a way that will promote the same kind of movement and still make as little bulkyness as possible.
